Research shows that these types of teas help to inhibit enzymes that are associated with memory. How does this work?
   
Studies and research show that compounds in certain types of tea may inhibit enzymes that are connected to loss of memory. By acting as an enzyme inhibitor, tea can actually prevent the effects of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The enzyme is called acetylcholinesterase or AChE for short. This enzyme breaks down neurotransmitters called acetylcholine. A decrease in these chemical messengers is linked with Alzheimer’s disease.
